NCUWP at Yale: January 13-15, 2012

Thank you to everyone who registered for NCUWP 2012! Due to an overwhelming student response, we have reached our registration cap earlier than we anticipated, and so we have now closed registration. If you would still like to attend a Conference on Undergraduate Women in Physics, never fear! There are five more taking place in various locations across the country, which you can find out about here.

The Northeast Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (NCUWP) is a three-day conference in the northeastern US intended for undergraduate students in the physical sciences and engineering. This conference is held simultaneously with other CUWP programs across the country. Information about previous conferences can be found here.

The goal of NCUWP is to help young women continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about graduate school and professions in physics, and access to other women in physics of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas. Our program includes research talks by faculty, panel discussions about graduate school and careers in physics, presentations and discussions about women in physics, laboratory tours, student research presentations, and several meals during which presenters and students interact.
